In production – Look Listen Local lived-reality documentary filmmaking training

October 29, 2024

CSFilm’s Look Listen Local (LLL) learning program in lived-reality documentary filmmaking is currently in production!

LLL will be an on-demand, online resource of instructional videos and supporting materials that cover essential skills in camera work, editing, sound production, and storytelling. The videos will be paired with hands-on ‘Skill-Builder’ and ‘Brain-Game’ exercises, designed to support the production of short documentary films.

LLL will be accessible to anyone, but our target audience is storytellers, activists, community leaders and organizations working in underrepresented and misrepresented communities worldwide. We are grateful to those from this audience who are generously providing feedback as we develop and refine the program. LLL will provide the creative and technical skills to produce films that raise issues of concern for local, national and international audiences.

Our first instructional video on shooting shots and scenes is now in post-production. We look forward to sharing it with you soon.

Zayde Buti and Michael Sheridan, LLL training team
