Your Support has Impact!

Your support will help:

  • Produce a comprehensive online, asynchronous, training program in documentary filmmaking. It is our mission to make our training programs available to storytellers around the world facing all forms of social and economic injustices. It is our belief that for the international community to better address the challenges of the world we must learn about the problems and solutions from the local perspective. This initiative will allow anyone to learn documentary filmmaking – especially those in places and situations where in-person training is not possible and meeting online is difficult.
  • Evacuate and resettle Afghans- Support our effort to help Afghan filmmakers, journalists, cultural workers, and rights activists cope with the physical, mental, and financial challenges of evacuation and resettling in a new country. Read our updates about the Fund for Afghan Evacuation and Resettlement;
  • Amplify local voices through the distribution of our Film and Public Engagement projects;
  • Research and develop new training, production, and public engagement projects.

Support of CSFilm enables us to:
  • Train, mentor and collaborate with local storytellers from underrepresented communities in documentary filmmaking and video-journalism;
  • Facilitate their production of powerful stories that visualize and articulate economic and social challenges from the local perspective;
  • Build and strengthen distribution networks between local social-issue mediamakers, their communities and an international community of concerned citizens.
