Online documentary training moving into production – Your support needed

June 12, 2024

Thanks to your belief in and support of Community Supported Film (CSFilm), we are ready to start production of the lived-reality documentary filmmaking training. We have already scripted 82 learning modules and can now start shooting the first of the 48 instructional videos.

This free online and asynchronous resource will be available locally, nationally, and internationally to strengthen the skills of activists, storytellers, and journalists. It will foster their production of issue-driven stories that stimulate dialogue and action.

This ambitious project needs the generous support of committed community members like you. With your help, we will start filming and editing the instructional videos this summer. The videos will cover everything from story development to distribution, camera and sound production to editing. By the end of June, we need to raise $25,000 to help us hire on-camera trainers, production crew and editors.

Please contribute as generously as you can to our $25,000 goal before the end of June.
