I learned this morning about the following attack from one of the families we are trying to get evacuated from Afghanistan. We need to raise awareness in the media and with our representatives about these atrocities in Afghanistan. Jawad, who is Hazara, writes:

“The killing of Hazara citizens in Daikundi is clearly an example of the genocide of Hazaras in Afghanistan, we ask the active human rights and international organizations to hear the voices of the innocent Hazara people who are killed every day for the crime of being Hazaras and Shiites in Afghanistan, and to protect the rights of these people. Defend innocent people.

The Taliban regime, which claims to provide global security, should know that it provides security only for itself, and maybe they are somehow involved in these killings, because the Taliban government censors and confiscates  all the books of Shia pilgrims in Afghanistan and avoids the name of Hazara by In his speeches, the leader of the Taliban encourages murderous groups.

We hereby offer our condolences to the families of the martyrs and the wounded of yesterday’s Hazara and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.

Fourteen people killed in attack in Afghanistan claimed by Islamic State

KABUL, Sept 12 (Reuters) – Fourteen people were killed and six others injured in an attack by unknown armed individuals in central Afghanistan, the Taliban administration said on Friday.

The Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility for Thursday’s attack in Daykundi province but has not provided evidence. Most people in that area are Shia Muslims and it was considered one of the safest provinces.

“While we share our deep sorrow with the innocent victims of the incident, we are also making serious efforts to search for the corrupt perpetrators of this act and bring them to justice,” Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement.

Islamic State-Khurasan, a local affiliate of the Middle East-based Islamic State, has waged an insurgency against the Taliban, whom they see as their enemies.

Taliban authorities say they have mostly crushed the group, even as it continues to carry out attacks in Afghanistan.
