CSFilm Selected as Echoing Green Semi-Finalist

February 20, 2013

Community Supported Film is proud to announce we have reached the semi-finalist round for the 2013 Echoing Green Fellowship.  Out of 3,000 candidate submissions, CSFilm’s Michael Sheridan was among 444 social entrepreneurs selected to continue on to the next level of competition.  The fellowship will ultimately go to 25 winners, who will each receive $80,000 to support their social change endeavors.

Echoing Green’s premier program is its highly competitive global Fellowship, which provides more than $2 million in seed support to a diverse group of emerging social entrepreneurs every year. From thousands of applicants, typically fewer than one percent are ultimately selected to receive up to $90,000 over two years to support the launch of their new organizations.

Wish us luck as we enter the next phase of the fellowship competition!

Since the U.S. military’s withdrawal from Kabul last year, the Sponsor Circle Program for Afghans has helped over 600 Afghans restart their lives. The Biden administration is preparing to turn the experiment into a private-sponsorship program for refugees admitted through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program and is asking organizations [and individuals] to team up with it to launch a pilot program by the end of 2022.
